The Nahvare clan is a creation by blawky, the player of Lusehri Nahvare, Mihn'li's twin sister, for whose tale Mihn'li was originally created. It is not my own. Linked here is the worldbuilding document authored by blawky that outlines the culture, traditions, structure and political placement of the Nahvare clan prior to the calamitous troubles that have recently assailed it.

These are short stories written during the event series that served as the catalyst for the creation and development of this character. Please enjoy. Some context will be missing, as these were written for an audience in the know of the events described - I offer as much as can be given in the synopses below. I will eventually add notes to the stories directly.Please note: Mihn'li's twin transitioned in the conclusion of the arc described in these stories - be advised that the name given in them is a deadname.The stories offer good windows into his personality and family life, nevertheless.They are listed below in chronological order.

In the wake of grievous injury, Mihn'li is taken to the witches of his clan for treatment. Yet he is restless with introspection, haunted by a lifetime of memories. What shall he do, now that it seems certain he and his twin are sundered?

Many are the questions in the mind and heart of the third son of Mihn. He sets out to find them among those he would have once accused as followers of an oppressor's faith. In the wake of it, he is put to the test as never he has been before, for destruction is come upon Nahvare.

An argument exposes the faultlines between once inseparable twins and the burdens each have long carried. Frustrations boil over, and another sweeps in to prod at them.

The third son of Mihn readies for the ending of the ordeal that has torn his family asunder. It has claimed his mother's life, stolen the shade of his father. He faces grief, now - a foe to be warred with the rest of his days.

Out Of Character - Please Read Thoroughly

  • Mihn'li is by rule taciturn and not one who approaches others often. He is not, however, against entertaining company. Should the RP tag be up, feel free to approach. Should it not be, feel free to reach me by whisper about possible scene hooks.

  • Adult themes of all kinds are explored at length and depth. 18+ players only.

  • Fraught subjects may be broached or discussed during roleplay. If you have a particular trigger, do not hesitate to share. It will be avoided.

  • I am an LGBTQ+ writer with two decades of experience in roleplay spaces of all kinds.

  • I do not use dice-rolls in most circumstances. I will accept them as a means of mediating outcomes in impartial manner when interacting with strangers or as a means of outsourcing randomness but I do not like leaving plot points or character moments to chance. Please discuss desired outcomes with me prior to engaging.

  • I have no particular preference for writing style. I will write entire paragraphs at times, at others singular lines or even words, depending on the scene and the moment. My writing tends to emphasise dialogue and interaction over description.

  • Communication is key. Roleplay is a collaborative effort. I seek roleplaying partners to write with, not write at. If a plot point of yours involves my character in any way, please let me know that we may discuss ramifications and further possibilities. Vague details will do if surprise is a desired effect. If I make no note of a detail during or after play (I understand that sometimes things are ad-libbed or improvised), assume it is accepted. Overview

The twins Lusehri and Mihn'li, youngest of the Nahvare Matriarch's children, were born to grave portents. Their father, leader of the elite Sentinels of the Clan, had vanished without a trace before their birth, and in the wake of a proclamation that had echoed down the centuries, Lusehri was burdened with powers extraordinary, related to a prophecy foretelling not only her death but dire upheavals for the Nahvare and the Deep Shroud.No such portents or powers were shared with Mihn'li; nothing to brand him remarkable at the start. The prophecy would forever alter the trajectory of his life all the same, for a deep bond of love existed between the twins from the first and, ever dutiful and without regard to his self, he wished to help shoulder whatever burdens he could for his family. At a very young age the youth swore an oath to Menphina, Goddess of Love and the Moon, that he would follow in his father's footsteps and become a Sentinel of the clan, that he might stand as a stalwart guardian to his sister in the wake of any trials she would have to face.The youth matured quickly in his single-minded pursuit. Once deemed as of little note - certainly by far the least impressive of the twins - Mihn'li revealed as he grew up an avid and fierce intellect. Devotion to his chosen path, a gift for martial prowess and utter self-sacrifice would further cement his status as another of the Matriarch's prodigy children, a moniker to wake chagrin in him. He was one of the youngest Sentinels ever to undergo and pass his Proving, taking his place as his twin's protector even as their bond frayed under the prophecy's demands and the troubled dynamics of the family.It would all come to a head in the emergence of a crisis. A revanchist uprising by a cabal of rogue witches led to the massacring and destruction of the clan's settlement and the stirring of an ancient being known to grant miracles, the fate of whom the prophecy was closely bound to. Through many trials and adversities this being was slain and its deadly designs for the denizens of the Deep Shroud stopped, but not without cost. The Matriarch would give her life to ensure a future for her clan and her children.Tormented by grief and survivor's guilt, Mihn'li gave what aid he could to the rebuilding of his clan's settlement before taking to the wide world beyond the glamour-shrouded glades of his birth. While bonds of love remained unbroken and he would remain a Sentinel bound by oath to the guardianship of his home, he set out to make a new beginning of his own, free of the weight of expectation and prophecy. A Sentinel on errantry to mirror the Dark Divinity's own.

Once among the most prosperous clans of the wood, Nahvare has come upon hard times in the wake of the destruction of its main settlement and a massacring of its population - the rumour of this will have filtered through every clan of the Deep Shroud.▍ ❝   2 - Errantry
Mihn'li is a relatively common sight in the core regions of Eorzea, these days, bringing a diligent attitude and a driven mindset to any job he is hired for. Paid work is not something this princeling of the Nahvare is used to, and there remains still a certain fish-out-of-water air about him, but woe be they who believe him an easy mark for swindling.▍ ❝   3 - Worshipper of Menphina
Few even among his clan are as devoted to the precepts and the spirit of the Lover's teachings. She has no fondness for battle, as such is the province of Halone, yet the man has taken the pursuit of kindness, selflessness and nobility of deed to heart, and allied them to the martial needs of his station. While he neither looks nor dresses the Ishgardian, there is no denying a certain knightly quality to the Sentinel's bearing.
